I just thought about "Through the Habitrails" for the first time in years.

Man, that was a creepy, scary, depressing comic. I've only read a little bit of Jeff Nicholson's other stuff, but it didn't seem nearly as interesting as this thing to me. Can anyone recommend other stuff in the same vein?

I didn't read much of it (I think Dave Sim ran a teaser in Cerebus?), but it seemed to be along the same lines as "Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron" or Charles Burns' work.

Yeah, that's where I discovered him. Clowes and Burns are old faves too, but I appreciate the effort.

Have you read Schizo #3? I can't think of anything else with the same stilted, paranoiac tone as Habitrails, but if a different version of cubicle horror would serve as a placebo...

I've managed to only check out bits and pieces of Brunetti over the years, but I do recall enjoying it a lot. Sounds like a good way to go.
