Watchmen Dark Knight Returns Maus
Seriously, you should be reading Brubaker's Captain America. Indie stuff, I dunno.

Also, Brubaker's Criminal.
The Brave and the Bold collection, if you like the costume-y stuff, hits all the buttons comics like this are supposed to, but rarely do.
Bendis's New Avengers trades are all over the place, quality-wise, and not-being-obnoxious-wise, but it's probably the best superheroes-as-soap-opera title at the moment.
Casanova I didn't like, but others here seem to enjoy it. It certainly has a distinctive sensibility, albeit a Moorcock-y kind of way -- NB, I can't stand Moorcock -- and the art (at least in the first volume) is gorgeous.
Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Criminal or Ganges or Death Note.

Edgar Renteria for Jair Jurrjens and Gorkys Hernandez. And I guess the Mets fleecing Minnesota for Johan.
And also Jack Kirby's Fourth World Omnibus Volume 4, even though it's like a thousand times less awesome than the first three.
