Okay, those of you who have comics blogs/columns/what have you, out with it.

I just started a comics blog at http://highway62.blogspot.com that sometimes will talk about things aside from comics. I also write a column over at Broken Frontier called Full Bleed (though they've been....slow about updating the site lately.)

Anyone else?

My bloggo / website-o (http://www.popshots.org) now features the occasional half-ass comic-related post. Hooty hoo.

That's Fing Fang Foom, not Ogg Vorbis! You lie!

That's nearly indescribably beautiful, Rock.

Why, thankee. I did it a couple of weeks ago for the new Frank's Apa blog, http://oldrottenhat.typepad.com/franks/

Got a Blankets review and Dave Sim interview on there, and other stuff.

five months pass...
About fifteen months ago, someone asked how many books I read and movies I watched, and I said I had no idea but I'd find out. When 2004 began, I started keeping a list on my journal -- numbering each book I finished (and discovering I only finished half of the ones I started) and each movie I watched all the way through (which left out a lot of "oh, it's on cable and I missed the first twenty minutes, ah well" movies). Since it would be boring to just type a number and title, I typed up a few comments, just whatever came to mind. Not very review-oriented unless it was a recent release or a book I thought was especially good or especially bad.

The year ended, the totals came to 100 and 479, and I stopped -- and maybe being kind, a few people complained that they had gotten used to my "reviews." So I started a separate, public journal exclusively for those, and broadened it to include everything -- movies, music, comics, books, television, and definitely Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper.

So it's not exclusively comics-oriented, but since comics are short, they'll probably constitute the bulk of the entries:

... weird. I must've fucked up the html there. Doctorpop.

(And as explained in the truncated bit of the previous post: Doctorpepper is the name of my ordinary journal, and Dr Pop is the name of a Dr Pepper knockoff, so there you go.)

(I'm putting up some stuff about Weapon X and Big Town soon, and some more Sandman minis. Today or tomorrow depending on how much real work I get done.)

Damn, that's really impressive, Tep. My goal is to read at least 50 books in '05, since I don't think I did this year. I was selective and everything I read was good, but I just don't spend enough time doing it.

And ILMers should ignore my music-related posts, since "Sgt Pepper's reminds me of Batman" is pretty representative of what they'll be like.

xpost; I included stuff assigned for school, which is like 20 books right there, and research books for writing, which is another 10 or so, and there are at least 5 books I read just to keep up with my academic fields, so that's 35 off the total right there -- it's not as impressive as it could be, and I still haven't gotten around to finishing the Gaddis book I've been reading all year.
