I am very, very excited about this series.

Mind you, I was this excited about the Rick Vietch 'Aquaman', and that was a bit meh.

I'm giddy about this too.

Huck, Thursday, 2 September 2004 14:46 (twenty years ago)

What's the deal?

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 2 September 2004 14:48 (twenty years ago)

The Question goes to Metropolis. It's something of a prelude to Azzarello's upcoming Lex Luthor thing.

Huck, Thursday, 2 September 2004 14:49 (twenty years ago)

I really wish the accompanying _Vigilante_ mini was still being written my Micah Ian Wright.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 2 September 2004 14:51 (twenty years ago)

Oh right, The Question, that guy. Yep, big fan, got all of his stuff.

Who?

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 2 September 2004 14:56 (twenty years ago)

Charlton guy, absorbed into the DCU, crusading TV Reporter Vic Sage presses a button on his belt buckle and a vapor solidifies into a faceless mask over his face, and he seeks justice!

Analogue for Rorschach.

Huck, Thursday, 2 September 2004 14:58 (twenty years ago)

Oh, so he was the guy Rorshach was "based on"?

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 2 September 2004 15:01 (twenty years ago)

Mostly. There was another Ditko/Charlton character along the same lines who was a little more extreme that also figured into and I can't remember his name right now. Veitch mentions him in the interview at CBR.

Huck, Thursday, 2 September 2004 15:04 (twenty years ago)

Mr. A, who was not a Charlton character, but a Ditko character put out in his self-published stuff (collected by Fantagraphics in the late 80s.)

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Thursday, 2 September 2004 16:09 (twenty years ago)

I humbly defer to your knowledge, sire.

When Supergirl has some disturbing dreams, she seeks out Green Arrow and The Question for help on a new Justice League Unlimited (Cartoon Network, 7:30pm). Kin Shriner voices Green Arrow, Nicholle Tom is Supergirl, and Jeffrey Combs is The Question.

That's tomorrow's episode. The Question is on THE CARTOON NETWORK? Holy crap. And isn't Jeffrey Combs the guy who played Reanimator/Spooky FBI Guy in The Frighteners?

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 3 September 2004 15:41 (twenty years ago)

Yep yep.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 3 September 2004 15:42 (twenty years ago)

ARGH!
JLU is not on in Canada!
Wtf though, Supergirl with the Question and Green Arrow?

Huck, Friday, 3 September 2004 15:46 (twenty years ago)

I have no idea -- I haven't watched much of the show, although I'm not sure why; what I've seen of it was better than the Superman cartoon (with more multi-episode stories, too). I may have to check this out.

(Do you get Duck Dodgers there, Huck? i.e. did you see the "Duck Dodgers accidentally becomes a member of the Green Lantern Corps" episode?)

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 3 September 2004 15:48 (twenty years ago)

YES! They got their dry cleaning switched! Classic! That was Kevin Smith voicing Hal Jordan though. Which I'm totally ambivalent about.

Huck, Friday, 3 September 2004 15:54 (twenty years ago)

It should've been the guy who used to do the voice of Dr Quest, but that guy might be dead.

Still, though, if that episode comes out on DVD, I'm so buying it.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 3 September 2004 15:55 (twenty years ago)

I don't know if I've ever squealed like I did when I saw that episode.

Huck, Friday, 3 September 2004 15:58 (twenty years ago)

P.S. I did reference the show on the Evil Counterparts thread.

Huck, Friday, 3 September 2004 16:01 (twenty years ago)

Oh yeah, you did. I just wanted to make sure!

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 3 September 2004 16:03 (twenty years ago)

An interview with the artist (Tommy Lee Edwards). The art looks AMAZING!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 8 September 2004 19:00 (twenty years ago)

Blogger chafes against the disrespectful revamping of The Question here.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 9 September 2004 13:59 (twenty years ago)

the fans did reject it, as the book only lasted 22 issues

!
