Prove that he hates.
Inferring hatred from politics is one thing, but it's also a dumb thing to do.
I know his politics. Prove that his politics are caused by hate.

My impression is that Chuck Dixon strongly dislikes the gay and he has said that children shouldn't read about it in comics (which he does so in the following link.)
http://www.gayleague.com/forums/display.php?id=188
As for proving his politics are caused by hate, I can only go by what he's said (as in the above.)
Of course he's also said that he has "no problems with gay or lesbian characters portrayed in a mature manner" but has lashed out at authors like Greg Rucka and Ed Brubaker who have done exactly that (though I cannot find a direct quote to that effect, so it's hearsay and not admittable in a court of law.)

LAFFERTY: But the point I want to make is that who's writing this stuff? The same guy who's bringing us Howard Stern.

Now, it wasn't -- we weren't making a political statement, and nobody ran out after buying the book and decided I'm going to become Jewish or I'm going to become Italian. People read it. They enjoyed it. That was it.

Quite frankly it also might have something to do with the fact their choice for a gay character was also one that he had the largest hand in developing so far. Paul Dini and Bruce Timm might have created Monotoya but Dixon fleshed her out the most within the comics.
That really is neither here nor there.
I read his original statements in the original context. Basically it's a family values decision regarding how he wants his kids exposed to certain elements when they'll be exposed. He didn't care for the Green Lantern thing because all-ages entertainment was turned into mature readers entertainment (and yes: mature readers entertainment... a less-than-mature reader could pull a lot of things out of those comics that even Judd Winnick never intended).
My gosh... that article is horrible... those words are out of context.
"Rawhide Kid" was exploitational trash.
But even if he did say all those words, it's offensive and unreasonable to assume that what offends you is hateful. Hatred is one of the most charged motives you can assign to someone... and it's the one that MOST OF ALL YOU CAN'T SEE. Trust me, if I hated gay people you'd never know it; on the other hand, while never hating homosexuals I've been called a "hateful" $$%# just because of my own politics.

He seems to be saying that if he hated gays he wouldn't say he hates gays and you wouldn't know about it, but since he says he hates the gays he must not really hate the gays. Or something.
Anyway, comics! Yay!
