Booster Gold's this 21st century (um, but a 21st century of the FUTURE) guy who comes back in time to our present and uses his future technology to be a superhero so he can be famous -- he ends up joining the JLA during the Giffen era and pals around with Blue Beetle a lot, but he's always got that kind of smarmy thing going on, where he's not quite heroic.
