I never bought them myself, you understand, but I did read my sister's.

I liked "Misty", although the only story I remember is the one that ends with some girl being implicitly gang-raped by garden gnomes. It was very scary.

Other titles featured lots of jolly hockey sticks stuff about people called Mary in boarding schools.

I asked for and was given a Twinkle annual for my birthday when I was 5 or 6. I can't remember anything about it though.
