IDW -- edgy goodness or self-aggrandized nutters?

30 Days and 30 Nights is very ok, but I just bought the first issue of Metal Gear Solid and it is TERRIBLE. Kind of surprising because it takes almost all of its dialogue straight from the game.

But because it's so overpriced at $4, and because IDW books tend to be way too expensive, MASSIVE DUD.

They do a bunch of those, yes. There's some good stuff to be found there, but I don't like their inflated prices. But hey, whatever works for them, right?

The only upcoming project that tempts me is the Ed Brubaker/Sean Philips RED SAILS or something along those lones.

I love zombie comics, but golly was REMAINS ever not to my taste. Though the art was grate, the writing...gah...
