Highwater Books: RIP!

According to The Beat (who heard it from The Comics Reporter), Highwater Books (publisher of various James Kochalka books, & various stuffs from the Fort Thunder collective, & MUCH MUCH MORE of course) is shutting its doors. This looks like a big fat load of suck. Here's their site.

I'm going to jump on the Brian Ralph special they have on their front page (sneaky advertising, fellows!), but if anyone can rep for anything else here, please feel free.

Also: go break your head.

Sad news indeed. That Brian Ralph special is a great deal!

Other recommendations from the website:

"Where Hats Go" by Kurt Wolfgang [originally included in Non #5]
"Epoxy"/ "Substitute Life" by John Pham
"Shrimpy and Paul and Friends" by Marc Bell

Also, this really sucks, because I had been looking forward to Philippe Dupuy and Charles Berberian's "I Pity You," which had been on the slate for 2004 and won't come out. Drawn and Quarterly put out "Get A Life," but very little of their other stuff has been released in the U.S. And it's really good!

I was looking forward to "Maggots" by Brian Chippendale... This is a terrible shame.
