You ever get those clammy cold-related sweats while shopping for clothes? Did you ever find out you went up a waist size while suffering through those sweats? Did you ever wonder if those clammy cold sweats were in fact a result of you bending your ample derierre over to untie your scuffed-up loafers?

Oh, I'm sorry - COMIX!

next week gotham central and the pulse for me, esp. the pulse, almost killing jessica's unborn baby in the last issue shook me more than any other comic plot happening has ever probably

blount, Tuesday, 4 January 2005 01:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd be right w/ you if not for that issue of The Pulse (a Secret War x-over) didn't have Brent Anderson redrawing the first issue of Secret War.

BTW - since the latest issue of Secret War is uber-late, there'd better be a Kenny G mullet & some Bhudda hot dog vendor jokes waiting between the covers.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 4 January 2005 01:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I hope that those Gotham City PD shirts are like "Property Of" style WORKOUT shirts, because, um, IRONY.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 4 January 2005 04:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Nothing for me this week, then.

Matthew "Flux" Perpetua, Tuesday, 4 January 2005 14:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm gonna be getting this week AND last week's shipment on Thursday (last week's didn't arrive until yesterday--inclement weather--it's -50 C/-58 F today!) so I'm excited.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 4 January 2005 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Nothing for me either. I do have to catch up on last week's JLA: Classified, though, and I missed some other minor comics recently (the last issues of Elektra: The Hand and Powerless, seeing as the TPBs are ALREADY OUT).

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 4 January 2005 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

David R., let's talk about how AWESOME Detective is right now. I picked up #s 801 & 802 and this is exactly what Detective Comics should be about. I thought #801 read like a perfect self-contained story, and then! !!! !!!!! #802 really takes off!
Fucking A.
Superman/Batman is a lot of fun too, GO JONAH HEX (he busts a K-cap in Supes' dome!)!

Huk-L, Saturday, 8 January 2005 02:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, DC #801 was fantastic (excepting a few spots where the captions went a bit overboard) (& I think there was a typo involving some belabored Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade metaphor). Alas, I probably won't be able to comic-shop until after NEXT WEEK'S shipment.

Any brave souls out there giving David Lapham's Darkness run a try? If so, please report.
