It was good!

Aside from a few spots of bad editing and generally bad dialogue (which my friend had to point out to me cos I just wasn't paying much attention to talk), there are some sequences that were très chic and generally the fight scenes are lively (can't say about the final fight, which could've been vastly better even though it did "reference" Zhang Yimou's Hero and House of Flying Daggers).

My mom wants to go see this (more than I do).

You've got a cool mom.

My mom also used to read my comics when I was growing up. She didn't like the way women were portrayed. Shocking, I know.

I get the sense that your mom is big into continuity as well, in which case, she shouldn't watch it. Yet, you should! Elektra/Tyhpoid Mary action!

She was big into telling me she didn't like hip-hop, but liked the Doors. I have a sense I'll enjoy the flick more than her. (I didn't mind Rob Bowman's last flick, Reign of Fire, much @ all.)

Not a good day for pictures on ILX.
