I haven't even looked at this yet, so if it's totally lame, I'm sorry.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 15:13 (twenty years ago)

Argh. Read the instructions and DO NOT CLICK "PRE-CRISIS" or all your answers will be wiped and you won't care enough to do the quiz twice.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 15:20 (twenty years ago)

78.3% pure. I'm wayyyyy more of a nerd than I thought. I guess I'll have to beg my girlfriend to dress up as Vampirella so I can have a good cry and fall into her arms.

ng, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 15:57 (twenty years ago)

"arms"

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 15:58 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 39 of 300 questions, making you 87.0% comic pure (13.0% comic corrupt).

I think Purity means you're not that much of nerd.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 16:03 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 173 of 300 questions, making you 42.3% comic pure (57.7% comic corrupt).

I had to laugh at 151:

Have you ever broken up because your significant other ruined your comics?

It was the main part of the rot that led to divorce.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 16:25 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 88 of 300 questions, making you 70.7% comic pure (29.3% comic corrupt).

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 16:28 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 72 of 300 questions, making you 76.0% comic pure (24.0% comic corrupt).

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 16:39 (twenty years ago)

Purity: As applied to the results of a purity test, your purity is proportional to how many things in the domain of the test you have not done. The more you have done, the less pure (and more corrupt) you are in the test's domain. In other words, the foo test tells you how pure/uncorrupt you are in the domain of fooity, not how purely foo you are. If the nerd test tells you you're 99% nerd pure, it does not mean you're 99% pure nerd (ack!)

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 16:42 (twenty years ago)

80.3% comic pure.

Vermont Girl (Vermont Girl), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 74 of 300 questions, making you 75.3% comic pure (24.7% comic corrupt).

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 18:01 (twenty years ago)

I don't believe that Huk is that "comic pure".

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 18:01 (twenty years ago)

I don't believe it either.

Vermont Girl (Vermont Girl), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 18:05 (twenty years ago)

What can I say?
I think my low score is because my nerdiness is just as strong as anybody else's here, but it's not as spread out. I've never been to a convention, know zip about Manga, and all my favourite titles get cancelled at #181.

Huk-L, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 18:08 (twenty years ago)

I did it again, just in case I missed the section where they ask if you know you who Iona Vane is or how many different versions of the Green Lantern's Oath you know by heart (or if you've ever written your own personalized version), but still got:

You answered "yes" to 39 of 300 questions, making you 87.0% comic pure (13.0% comic corrupt).

Huk-L, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

22.7% corrupt.

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 54 of 300 questions, making you 82.0% comic pure (18.0% comic corrupt). Quite low, for someone who's been a big comics fan since the mid-'70s, published a fanzine for years and was professionally involved in the business for years!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 19:26 (twenty years ago)

You're all lying. Or maybe I was a bit overzealous in my answers (although having a comic geek for a girlfriend must account for a number of the points).

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 19:29 (twenty years ago)

24.3% corrupt, which amazed me.

Vic Fluro, Tuesday, 1 February 2005 19:45 (twenty years ago)

81% pure, but I got bored about 3/4 way through.

Chuck Tatum (Chuck Tatum), Tuesday, 1 February 2005 21:21 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 112 of 300 questions, making you 62.7% comic pure (37.3% comic corrupt).

THAT'S RIGHT!

ILC REPRAZENT

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 03:56 (twenty years ago)

Nevermind, we've all been pwned. My girlfriend's result:

Here is the result of your Comic Purity Test.
You answered "yes" to 147 of 300 questions, making you 51.0% comic
pure (49.0% comic corrupt).

Jordan (Jordan), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 04:59 (twenty years ago)

That test is in fact an ILC initiation ritual so she's gotta post regularly here now.

Leeeter van den Hoogenband (Leee), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 05:05 (twenty years ago)

*gasp*

SHE IS THE CHOSEN ONE!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 05:22 (twenty years ago)

You answered "yes" to 79 of 300 questions, making you 73.7% comic pure (26.3% comic corrupt).

kit brash (kit brash), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 07:12 (twenty years ago)

I'm 93% pure, but I'd say this test leans towards American comic fans who read spandex. If there was an indie/artsy/European comic geek test my score would prolly be higher.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 2 February 2005 15:15 (twenty years ago)

You always score with me.

Huk-L, Wednesday, 2 February 2005 15:17 (twenty years ago)

I'm 55% pure. Oh dear.

Douglas (Douglas), Thursday, 3 February 2005 07:41 (twenty years ago)

one year passes...

anthony easton (anthony), Saturday, 17 June 2006 16:38 (nineteen years ago)

You answered "yes" to 60 of 300 questions, making you 80.0% comic pure (20.0% comic corrupt).

What a year it's been.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Saturday, 17 June 2006 16:51 (nineteen years ago)

77.7% Comics pure.

Richard Baez (Johnny Logic), Saturday, 17 June 2006 17:12 (nineteen years ago)

Yes to 60 for 80% pure.

100% CHAMPS with a Yes! Attitude. (Austin, Still), Saturday, 17 June 2006 17:56 (nineteen years ago)
