I watched Cemetary Man last night and I understand it's based on this comic. What's the deal? Is it good? Available? In English?

and, is the movie available on DVD yet?

Is this the Cemetary Man with Rupert Everett (Dellamorte Dellamore)? (I'm not any help one way or the other, I had no idea it was based on a comic.)

There was a translation or two from Dark Horse in the late '90s, but they engaged in k-lame artistic and conceptual editing (ie the main character's sidekick is a Lord Julius-style Groucho rip; DH freaked out and erased the mustache, changed the name, and wrote the dialogue to minimise comparisons), and the whole line (of Bonelli licenses) flopped anyway.

Interesting, thanks.

Yeah, that's the movie, Tep. I read that it's coming out on dvd later this year.

Interesting - I'd heard the movie was checking out, and Italian friends have enthused about Dylan Dog, but I hadn't realised one was based on the other.

A little more digging at IMDB and at the DYLAN DOG publisher's website here:

http://www-en.sergiobonellieditore.it/dylan/servizi/autori.html

suggests that the film is actually based on a novel by Tiziano Sclavi, the creator of DYLAN DOG. His novel NERO has also been filmed, and looks to be another horror/comedy.
