It looks like Marvel is doing what they should've done immediately following Messiah Complex, and have Mike Carey's X-Men book become the school/New Mutants title, with Charles Xavier in the mentor role.

DC is not canceling it, but I dumped Action and Superman off my pull list today. I liked Johns run on Action up until this one and had liked Superman with Busiek, but this New Krypton storyline has everything and the kitchen sink thrown in and it is going to run at least a year with a couple of added in titles. Buy 24 issues of Superman and Action without Superman then a 12 issue mini series by some dude that has written about a dozen comics, I say no thank you, I might see you in the dollar bin down the line.

Hollywood writer = INSTANT CREDIBILITY in the comics world with their inferiority complex

(Actually TBH, I really liked Mission Hill, though I don't remember that episode too well)

Maybe the guy is great, but the way this thing in the Superman titles has played out, I'm not interested. I checked out a bunch of things from DC over the past couple of years and it is really dwindling down what of their superhero books of theirs I will read. With DC putting Batman and Detective into limbo for more Batman stories without Batman, The Secret Six is about the only book that I'm following. I'm sure they will screw that one up too by killing off Deadshot making his lost son the 'new' Deadshot or something else stupid. I should say, I might check into whatever they are doing with the Legion if they ever publish the last three issues of that miniseries.

That being said, I do follow some Vertigo series via trade like DMZ, Northlanders, 100 Bullets and Scalped. I might also check out that Young Liars trade that just came out.
