DARK AVENGERS #2
― M.V., Monday, 16 February 2009 19:50 (fifteen years ago) link
Wow. This is the first week in a long time where I'm not seeing ANYTHING I want.
Oh well: time to finally crack open that SHOWCASE PRESENTS STRANGE ADVENTURES book, I guess.

Can anyone tell me if Black Lightning Year One is any good?
― WmC, Monday, 16 February 2009 20:27 (fifteen years ago) link
No.

Er, I mean "No" as in, "No, it's not very good," as opposed to "Pshaw, I'm not going to tell you."

Uncanny X-Men, X-Factor, and X-Men Legacy.

Godland! (though I fear I may soon be the only one in the world excited by this)
and X-Factor. The last issue was awesome; one of the best single issues of any book I've read in a while.

Wow, I don't see shit on there for me.

I need to catch up with X-Factor--haven't read any since the Secret War/She-Hulk crossover with startlingly ugly Stroman art (and I really liked him on his first time round on this book)

I probably won't drive up to the shop this week, not much going on, although they will probably sell out of the Dark Avengers (as they seem to do with a bunch of Marvel comics).
Godland is a pretty cool comic, but I have only read the first 12 issues.

MYSTERIUS THE UNFATHOMABLE #2: everybody should check this book out. The first issue was really good. I hate to cheese it up and link my shit but me and a friend expound upon it's goodness here.

Mysterius seconded!

the cover to mysterius the unfathomable 2 looks like a cross between the work of english illustrator/cartoonist chris riddell and the french comic strip artist francois boucq...so to say it "definitely doesn't look like anything else out there" strikes me as a little hyperbolic/inaccurate...

would you believe "definitely doesn't look like anything else out there from WildStorm"????

ah, cut Hillary some slack, she's relatively new to comics.

GM, that Sergio footage on your site is awesome. I heard that gun draw fast, but that's crazy. It looks sped up, Benny Hill-style.

(Er, "gun" = "guy can")
