I'm considering actually subscribing to comics direct from DC now, but I'm not sure how it works. How long is the subscription for? A calendar year? How easy would it be to cancel or modify the sub?

And from a responsibilities standpoint, would thee industry be better served if I patronized a real store?

Go to a real store. I used to do that to hit on goths twice my age!!

I've moved all my comic bookery online, so I don't forsee any goth-girl hit-upping over the newest Optic Nerve in my future. As for the Store v. Publisher FITE - I figure it'd be healthier for the industry if I deal w/ a middle man instead of giving my money straight to Time-Warner.
