'Man-Thing' is a far bigger blow than anything Linda Lovelace could’ve bought to the table. If the comic-book stables previous cinematic efforts were a Chocolate-adorned caramel filled Cornetto ice cream, then this is the unappetizing defrosted home-brand water ice. It’s that cheap."

Yeah, it was originally announced as a theatrical release, but, um it sounds like the suckitude destined this for the Sci-Fi Channel.

Dude, Man-Thing didn't even take place in Looziana, the Nexus is in the Everglades. I'll bet Mansquito didn't get that wrong!

How'd you like to have Avi Arad's job, trying to spin every lousy adaptation as a work of originality? I'm surprised (but happy) they're continuing to release comic movies. I figured, seeing the slate of upcoming Marvel productions a few years ago, that'd we'd long have been oversaturated by now. I wonder if it's better to get a lousy movie out, figuring bad publicity's worse than none?

A shitty Man-Thing has as much effect on the next Spider-Man movie or Batman Begins as Air Bud: Golden Receiver had on Any Given Sunday.

You're probably right that the larger properties (Spider-Man, Superman, Batman) aren't lumped together with their lesser brethren. What with Namor, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, etc. coming down the pike, I hope that's true.
