Air #7, and possibly Light of Thy Countenance.

I wonder if Moore has the same shitfits about his prose work being translated into comics as he does his comics work being translated into film If he does, I haven't heard nothin' bout it.

I would be excited about Age of Bronze, if I'd actually gotten to #27 yet... but another week with nothin' for me. Although as my monthly haul = everything by GMo + Iron Man + Secret Six, I guess it's understandable that I'm light on stuff to buy at the mo...

Nothing, nada, zip. However, I did just get the four Seven Soldiers TPBs for $20, so I'll spend my time in crazy Grantland all week.

$20 total? Sweeeeet.

eBay gold - they look like they've never been touched, and the seller paid shipping AND sent them first class for $7! Best transaction ever.

Except for when I got the 5 issues of Epic Blueberry for $15...

Damn, eBay must be a seller's nightmare and a buyer's wet dream these days.

Glad to see DC showing AIR so much support with a super-cheap issue 7 and tpb.

For me:

AZRAEL: DEATH'S DARK KNIGHT #1--I'm not reading BftC, but Frazer Irving art will get me to pick up just about anything
TRANSMETROPOLITAN #1 SPECIAL EDITION--to give a couple of friends I think would like it
AGE OF BRONZE #28--God what a great series
JUDGE DREDD COMPLETE CASE FILES VOL. 12--we are solidly in interesting territory now

One question on the Dredd case files, how long until they split off the Judge Dredd magazine from 2000AD? What year did they go to a full color magazine?

holy crap! I haven't been inside a comic shop since the last issue of Mysterius??? Which I only just finished reading and it's pretty great.

I wonder if Moore has the same shitfits about his prose work being translated into comics as he does his comics work being translated into film

Alan Moore quoted in Rich Johnston's column 2 weeks ago:

"Felipe Massafera and Antony Johnston's adaptation of Light of Thy Countenance is probably more gripping than the original story. I'm immensely pleased."

Felipe Massafera painted artwork on that comic is really nice.

Nothing for me. I'd pick up a Platinum Grit TPB if they keep going and get beyond the stuff that actually came out on paper in the first place.

Ditto! I want to read Platinum Grit a lot, I just don't want to read it in Flash on a screen.

Has anyone heard an explanation as to why Marvel cranks all of the X-books out on a single day every month? I mean, is there a reason, or is this just Marvel being Marvel?

Manuel Doritos (Deric W. Haircare), Thursday, 19 March 2009 00:18 (fifteen years ago) link

I was just talking about that tonight with other comic friends! I preferred when they came out in trickle over the month. That way I got X-books every week instead of a superdose.
