...And just when I was starting to get freaked out about the state of comics, along comes the Stumptown Comics Fest this past weekend and makes me all enthusiastic again...

Guess I'll wait till next week to pick up daredevil. Not worth a trip on its own.

And for me:
DETECTIVE COMICS #853--In which Gaiman and Kubert finally come through, I hopeDAREDEVIL #118--okay, I'm back on board nowINCREDIBLE HERCULES #128--a low-key but reliable pleasureMARVEL ADVENTURES FANTASTIC FOUR #47--Paul Tobin FTWTALES DESIGNED TO THRIZZLE #5--because http://www.icv2.com/articles/news/14585.html , that's why
Also, I already have all the stuff in that Showcase Legion vol. 3 several times over, but for them that doesn't, it's really good.

Douglas, more power to ya, but I'm just not enjoying Herc like you are. Low-key on this book is approaching boring for me.

SCALPED trade v.4. Maybe catch up on the current BATMAN CONFIDENTIAL arc with Garcia-Lopez inked by Kevin Nowlan. The story isn't all that, but the art is FANFUCKINGTABULOUS.
I hear the current Marvel space books are good, but not quite where to start on that.
Though I may just read the copy of BLAZING COMBAT I got this weekend, instead.

I'll have three weeks in my file to pickup, so I am a few issues behind.
AZRAEL DEATHS DARK KNIGHT #2 - The first issue was pretty good. The artwork is by Fraser Irving who did the Klarion part of 7 Soldiers, so it is really sharp.BATMAN BATTLE FOR THE COWL ARKHAM #1 - Don't remember who is doing this one...DETECTIVE COMICS #853 - I'm curious to see how this comes together. Kubert's artwork was really sharp in the first part.SCALPED TP VOL 04 THE GRAVEL IN YOUR GUTS - I might not get this one this week, but I will probably pick it up soon.VIKING #1 - The preview I saw of this one looked pretty good. The artwork reminded me a bit of John Buscema with some cool Bill Sienkiewicz or Klaus Jansen dirty inking.AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #592 - I get this one via mail sub, so I will probably get it in a couple of weeks.DAREDEVIL #118 - This is another mail sub comic, but I am way behind reading this one. The painted covers always look nice.THOR #601 - Another mail sub comic, but I got caught up on the last issue. The setup with what Loki is doing is pretty good, which considering how many times Loki has tried to screw over Thor, it is cool when someone finds a different angle. There is another nice tie to Loki in the Mighty Avengers comic. My theory in the long run reveal is that Loki will ultimately be found to be the guy that tore up the Scarlet Witch and blew up the Avengers way back a few years ago. It is too right, Loki led to the creation of the Avengers, he should be the one that blew it up.
