Kirby in the LRB

Did anyone else read the article in the London Review of Books in which Jonathon Lethem reminisces about his childhood and adolescent idolisation of Jack Kirby? It's very evocative, and makes me wonder whether something similar could be done (by me, for instance) about all the comics I read when I was a lad.

Theres a great Geoff Dyer piece about his boyhood love of comics (especially Marvel) which ends in a rhapsodic passage where he compares Michaelangelo (I think) and his work on the ceiling of an Italian Church/cathedral - not the Sistine Chapel - with Kirby...its in his essay collection Anglo-English Attitudes.
