i found most of the design jokes (the back cover strip particularly) funnier than most of the actual comic. i dunno. the vaguely nihilist bit at the ending doesn't seem to carry much weight, i think bcz of the i-don't-like-superheroes-so-NER-ness of it all, whereas i find a lot of his stuff amazingly affecting, considering.
it was better than his comic with craig thompson though.
