Iceman and Jean are probably the best examples of powers taken to ridiculous extremes

can I just outright say "lol @ u, Quentin Quire"?

hah, i didnt even notice Quentin Quire. he went down like such a bitch during riot @ xavier's that i didnt even realize he was an omega.

lol that we're the only ones who seem to care about this

btw I left off Rachel Summers by accident; I thought the list looked light on women but I couldn't remember who was missing (also I think there's a strong argument to be made for Scarlet Witch belonging here, too)

Haven't read too many comics these days, sorry, but I might vote for the SW. Is that REALLY the cover X-Men #1? Who the heck drew it?

It's either Iceman or Franklin Richards. I'm going with Iceman, because Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends changed my life.

xp: lol that is someone's interpretation of the cover to X-Men #1, which looks like this:

I kinda wanna throw a pity vote Iceman's way. He's by far the most underutilized of the OG X-Cast.

Mister M? Ha. Dude was featured in maybe a dozen comics before he got offed.

Quentin Quire is still around in non-corporeal form (as is common knowledge for nerds who've read every ancillary X-title from the past few years). And he's apparently coming back for reals for this upcoming Schism to-do.

Magma is totally Omega Level, she could destroy the planet by activating the Yellowstone volcano. Also, illogically, she can now fly.

Iceman is terrible.

I just read Iceman's wiki to figure out how/why he's super powerful. Doesn't make a load of sense to me.

frogbs went a-courtin' (WmC), Friday, 24 June 2011 22:21 (thirteen years ago) link

He is super powerful because he can kill anyone by freezing all the moisture in their brain apparently, and also can never die because he will just reconstitute his body from water

thus

http://www.killermovies.com/forums/f98/t382722.html

but in reality he is useless, so all his fans talk about his "potential"

I can't believe that Proteus or Havok wouldn't be included in this (trhough maybe they are? Most recent X-comix I've read wz Morrison)

Enjoyed that brief moment I spent in parallel Earth where that really was some pre-reboot Marvel equivalent of E.C. Comics version.

"He is super powerful because he can kill anyone by freezing all the moisture in their brain apparently"

Pretty much Elijah Snow from Planetary is a cooler version of a super powered character similar to Snowman.

Iceman is also like Changling/Beast Boy from the Teen Titans where for some reason everybody else grew up but they didn't.
