And here's a drawring by Ryan Sook Seven Soldiers: Zatanna for the upcoming Peter David / Sook X-Factor series.

And, oh yeah - Brubaker / Lark on Daredevil.

(This thread shd really be called SPANDEX Con Blah Blah.)

David R. (popshots75`), Saturday, 6 August 2005 16:55 (twenty years ago)

Ryan Sook is pretty good. Can't they just put him on X-Men with Peter Milligan instead?

Matthew C Perpetua (inca), Saturday, 6 August 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

Ha ha, we called Bru/Lark on Daredevil like a year ago!

Huk-L (Huk-L), Saturday, 6 August 2005 21:52 (twenty years ago)

Biggest non-surprise announcement of the con, that. You knew it was going to happen the second Marvel signed Brubaker. I meah, duh!

That said, Marvel's going for the fanboy throat this time with Turner, Joe Mad, Jeph Loeb, etc, being signed. I guess there'll be a lot of folks excited by this. I'm just not one of 'em.

And am I the only one disappointed that they're getting Gran Morrison to be the creative editor/supervisor on the Wildstorm revival? Let the man write!

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Sunday, 7 August 2005 15:23 (twenty years ago)

It was fun! Gene Ha drew some supermice for me.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 7 August 2005 18:38 (twenty years ago)

Waittaminit? Loeb goes to Marvel? What about his precious Supergirl?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Sunday, 7 August 2005 20:31 (twenty years ago)

She's somebody else's baby now...

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Sunday, 7 August 2005 21:07 (twenty years ago)

He's still writing Supergirl for the time being.

And I thought GM was writing WildCATs!!!

David R. (popshots75`), Sunday, 7 August 2005 21:44 (twenty years ago)

GM is still writing CATs, but he's apparently revamping some other Wildstorm stuff, too. I just can't get real excited by the prospect. But then I probably would've said the same thing about him taking on X-MEN were I this grumpy a few years ago...

Share!

Leeeeeeee (Leee), Monday, 8 August 2005 19:42 (twenty years ago)

I will! As soon as I can scan it in sometime.

Maddie got a Ragged Robin from Jill Thompson, Constantine drinking wine from Tony Akins, and a sketch of directions to a liquor store from Brian Azzarello (who I did not know is married to Jill Thompson).

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 8 August 2005 19:51 (twenty years ago)

The supermice are Batman and Daredevil, FYI.

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 8 August 2005 19:51 (twenty years ago)

Oh gosh! Wait till Slocki sees the Supermice in Top Ten! He'll PLOTZ!

Huk-L (Huk-L), Monday, 8 August 2005 19:55 (twenty years ago)

Here it is:

I may have to crosspost that to the Top 10 thread for posterity.

Jordan (Jordan), Saturday, 13 August 2005 23:06 (twenty years ago)

Supermice!

Somebody with a billion pounds should sign Jeph Loeb to an exclusive not-writing-any-more-comics contract.

Tom (Groke), Sunday, 14 August 2005 21:29 (twenty years ago)

Loeb is kinda old! At least in comparison to the shockingly young and hawt John Cassaday, whom he was signing next to.
