That two-page escape sequence in the latest issue confused the bejeezus out of me. Which was intentional, I hope.

Also, I can only imagine how many fanboys are disappointed re: Ronin's true identity. Personally, I'm all for Bendis leaning on "his" characters (Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Echo).

Man, I had such high hopes for this issue. And it looked so promising. Especially when the undead army started rising up, and Magneto looked like he was going to get back his powers.

But man, the moment he yelled XORN I knew it was over. I did enjoy the SAY MY NAME (bitch) dialogue, though. Still, way to negate like all the cool stuff going in this arc. So pointless.

You know, the whole way they go about this Xorn thing really offends me, not so much in that they are trampling all over Grant's storyline (totally to be expected), but in how it's all about writing Magneto as this sorta blameless character, which is disgusting. Motherfucker is a murderer and a terrorist, and I hate writers who try to cover that up and make him this noble anti-hero. They could have brought Magneto back a hundred ways that would have been better, but to deny that Magneto was actually responsible for the events of the BEST MAGNETO STORY EVER is moronic.

That'll make 4 Avengers books (if you count Initiative), w/ Bendis on two, Christos Gage on one (Initiative), and Dan Slott promising a nostalgia trip of sorts when he comes on board Mighty.
