i had a sip of fresca today. i knew i was going to hate it, but i still did it anyway. the concept of grapefruit soda is so repulsive.

i was surprised to discover that most people I know actually like grapefruit! it's one of the worst flavors i can think of. it ruins anything it's mixed with.

My pharmacology book has a short section on how grapefruit juice interacts with some drugs and causes their activity to change in the body. CRAZY

My one bad grapefruit juice experience came when I was pregnant (when else) and craving grapefruit juice. I drank some. It did not end well.

I can't have grapefruit becuase of some meds I'm on and I miss red grapefruit something fierce. My brother made a grapefruit granita two weeks ago and it irked me no end not to be able to eat it or put it in my champagne.

theres a very interesting debate to be had about salt or sugar on your fruits & i mean that

sugar sweetens but salt can draw out the flavor, it may just be that ETs dad is ONE INTENSE DUDE which would kind of, you know, make sense, genetically

My mom eats tomatoes with salt on them, while the rest of the family tends to sprinkle sugar on tomato slices. The salt thing seems crazier when we're talking about grapefruit, though... I guess because grapefruit seems "fruitier."

It really depends on the size of the gat the quality of the grapefruit. The most regularly delicious commonly available to me is Odwalla. But there's plenty of quart-in-a-can GJs out there that are worse than any OJ.

Docs took me off some meds recently that prevented me from eating one of my fave foods ever, the grapefruit. At the grocery the other day I remembered I can now eat them again. This reunion is so poignant for me that I can't believe Oprah hasn't sensed it and sent a film crew here. Missed u, grapefruit.
