Sometimes watching Aeon Flux episodes (especially in the case of "utopia or deuteranopia) I wonder which writers would inspire a person like Aeon if she existed in reality. I know, I know, Aeon doesn't have an agenda set by a certain ideology etc... but some of the ideas that seemingly can explain the motivives behind Aeons actions can most definetely be found among real writers and philosofers. I have a suggestion, after reading 2 of Ayn Rands books recently I've noticed certain parallells between Aeon and Ayn.
Anyone else got a suggestion?

Just thought of something, I think the problem with "utopia or deuteranopia" is that it ends by telling the viewer that ultimately Aeon just had to control Trevor and keeping him on a leash rather then just getting rid of him. The problem is thou that politically this doesn't really concretisise what we should promot in order to keep a person like Trevor under control. I think that if Peter wants the episode to be taken serously as a political episode it would have needed to tell us more about what we can do as a people. The episode really only tells us that people like Aeon is going to keep the struggle going but nothing stops us from expanding if you think about it. I think thats the type of things about Ayn Rand, the author, that speaks to me very deeply, she really showed us the true extent of the hipocripsy in our governments and she gave a very passionate and rational argument for expanding capitalism, strenthen our human rights, and be objectivists, etc.
Utopia or Deuteranopia is simply to vague in it's message to be seen as one of the better episodes of Aeon Flux.
any comments?

these are my favorite ayn rand books in this order:
1) the fountainhead 2) atlas shrugged 3) night of january 16th 4) The New Left: The Anti-Industrial Revolution 5) the da vinci code
here are some people influenced by ayn rand:
Numerous prominent individuals have acknowledged that Rand greatly influenced their lives, including: Harry Binswanger, Nathaniel Branden, Barbara Branden, James Clavell, Edward Cline, Chris Cox, Mark Cuban, Paul DePodesta, Steve Ditko, Terry Goodkind, Allan Gotthelf, Alan Greenspan, Hugh Hefner, Erika Holzer, John Hospers, Angelina Jolie, David Kelley, Billie Jean King, Anton LaVey, Rush Limbaugh, Frank Miller, Ron Paul, Neil Peart, Leonard Peikoff, Ronald Reagan, George Reisman, John Ridpath, Robert Ringer, Tracey Ross, Kay Nolte Smith, Tara Smith, John Stossel, Margaret Thatcher, Clarence Thomas, Vince Vaughn, and many others.[74] Rand's philosophy of Objectivism continues to influence workers in the arts, business, and science. "The Atlasphere," an online community devoted to admirers of Rand, maintains a blog citing Rand's influence on popular or newsworthy figures who cite the influence of Rand's works on their lives,[75] while "Randex" updates a list of recent media references to Rand or her work.[76]
