I'm amazed they're getting an Oscar winner for Aeon (but the lack of announcement on a Trevor bothers me, to be honest), but with that kind of money, I'd get Production IG or Madhouse to create an entire new series.

She must've not looked that good in the thong at the casting take afterall, she's already lost 4 mil.
Very astute about Trevor though.

Call me a cranky old man, but I don't much care to see someone else's take on Peter's characters without his involvement.
Now a re-release of the original series on DVD... Dare I hold my breath?

So, basically I'd be surprised if Peter turned down the chance. And I guess that's just because I don't remember him ever mentioning AF reprisals as something he'd be disinclined to do (Though he may well have). Moreover, the show really does seem to be... uh how could I say this... *Born from a deep concentration of creative magma* - Well a labour of love anyhow; the kind of creation you imagine an artist doesn't want to completely let go of.
Reckon i'm just optimistic. But if the movie boomerangs Aeon back to Peter's hands, it rocks.

Okay, on second thought, I will say that I'm somewhat encouraged by the tiny plot fragment that's appeared in the movie's press releases. It sounds like they're at least adapting elements from the first season shorts - a much better set-up than that modern-day astronaut horrorshow of a story that was kicking around years ago.

What? Explain more, please.
