You can check it out here.
I like it - maybe I'm reading too much into a trailer but it seems like it's at least trying to hold onto the "charm" of the original.
What's everyone elses take on it?

I think it holds it's own for now anyways. I'm a fan of charlize's vocal comparison to Æon--looks like somebody did their homework. I'll be counting down to this one for sure.

Man, I thought the movie was coming out september, this December stuff is kinda a bummer.
At least we have Serenity though.

The film will be a laugh and a half. I'd see it for the architecture alone, honestly.

What do you make of the Aeon Flux comic sample? I'd rather they hadn't modeled the character after Charlize -- it'll take time to get used to this new "youthful" Aeon -- but it looks like they're trying to keep the surrealistic/metaphoric nature of the show intact.

I haven't seen the comic sample but I did go see Skeleton Key this weekend (pay no attention to the bad reviews, it was great). They showed some Aeon Flux previews there, and I was totally impressed with not only the amount of money spent on the film but the incredible backgrounds.

Charlize looked great, she's got the 'Aeon' feeling down. One scene showed her in what obviously was taken from the Scafandra scene in Last Time, you know, where they meet at the wall in the begining and plan their entrance into the city.

Syra, can you expound on this 'comic sample' where'd you see it?

I'm kinda dissapointed with the comic sample. There's nothing unique about the character designs or the architecture. As far as the movie, the screen shots are looking pretty cool. I don't know about the quote their putting on the posters though, "she had a life, she had a family, now all she has is a mission." Or something like that. Can anyone here picture Aeon Flux ever having children?
I can, and their wearing leather thong diapers.
Wierd.

I think the trailer looks excellent! It doesn't remind me of a remake of lara croft. I was very impressed with charlize, her aeon flux transformation was very well done. Every chance i get i make my friends watch the trailer over and over haha. We need more followers. Yes i agree i wasn't over excited about the comic series, i was expecting the older verson of aeon, but the comic is an excellent idea.
