I really want to see this but when I try I get a broken quicktime logo, does anyone know what that means?

Barb e (Barb e), Saturday, 11 March 2006 03:40 (nineteen years ago)

Beautiful, even though I loathe Quicktime. I'll gladly devour anything Mark Mars can give us..

Anthony Hudson (fabhappyfruit), Saturday, 11 March 2006 23:14 (nineteen years ago)

Hate to be a bother, but I don't see anything on those videos either... just white screens. Hitting play just sort of... advances the timer but doesn't show anything.

Nhex (Nhex), Sunday, 12 March 2006 01:34 (nineteen years ago)

Thanks!

Mark Mars, Sunday, 12 March 2006 14:52 (nineteen years ago)

Really interesting Mark... I like the one in the bottom left corner the best. It reminded me of the geometric images you can see on the back of your eyelids as you start to dream. Just as those images sort of morph into the dream images, I started to see things in the lines and patterns. Don't know if that's what you intended, but it worked on me.

At the risk of sounding stupid, is KNUKLBOY a comic book?

Joshua Aldridge, Tuesday, 14 March 2006 08:45 (nineteen years ago)

That was kinda cool, but I think it would've been better if it'd lead somewhere -- kinda seemed too short, in a way. Didn't have any problems with Quicktime. Josh, I think KNUKLBOY's a novel, at least I think he told me it was a novel, dunno much about it's progress yet. Hey Mars, how is KNUKLBOY coming?

your hair is good to eat, Thursday, 16 March 2006 06:30 (nineteen years ago)

It looks like I'm about halfway through the whole story, so far, but about half of the material is "novelization" where the other half of it is straight screenplay. But then I'm apparently conflicted as to whether perhaps it's a prose-poem narrative designed around a jazz metal stage show cabaret. I even have a playlist of dedicated original lyrics for it - complete with arrangements!!

I mean, I haven't even gotten in the course of the story itself to where Andia finally discovers Television Man! That's because I realized I didn't know who he is as a character, yet. I've had a lot of frustration in trying to get this package into shape. It's horribly complicated, believe me.

So I certainly don't suppose that it's a stupid question at all as to whether KNUKLBOY's a comic book. The same question has occurred to me on many occasions, of course. But obviously it's a comic book, I am sure, whatever the medium or vehicle (if any). I have been brooding on this one for more than five fkn years now already yet it still hasn't matured in my mind or in my experience. I have put this monster through hundreds of pages of development but so far I'm really satisfied with about 105 of them!

I can't help but put it up there like this, though, because I must press on with it. The webpage, therefore, is this project's own little diary and I mean it to generate some dialogue that might better inform its progress. I'm really devoted to it, too, it really isn't a lark. And I know the tons of original material that I have to choose from with which to continue to enrich the page is sufficient to its seeing to its own purposes. I'm looking forward to it.

(Another fkn screwball w/ a goddamn webpage. Boyo boyo...)

Mark Mars, Sunday, 19 March 2006 08:32 (nineteen years ago)

It's looking more and more bitchin! Though!

Mark Mars, Tuesday, 21 March 2006 03:14 (nineteen years ago)

Hey Mark, it's Adam. I found you on the web, Small world eh? Here is my email address if you would like to direct me to your Knukleboy story. I am curious what you are up to lately.
Talk to you soon,
ABC

Adam Caskey, Friday, 24 March 2006 08:00 (nineteen years ago)

But now I just decided to move the KNUKLBOY page to a new site which I have just created for all my idunno lets say "outre" kinda stuff...it's

http://web.mac.com/artianastemaudit/iWeb/iMarz

This is because I realized that I can't direct prospective employers to the iMars site and have anything like KNUKBOY up on there without running a risk of scaring them off.
