About half of Vincebus Eruptum is really awesome but the other half is kind of meh to me.

He Miss Road is great.

Abbadavid Berman (Hurting), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:02 (eighteen years ago) link

wow, blue cheer is so popular these past 24 hours. i almost bought that CD yesterday too. there must be something in the air.

killy ii (baby lenin pin), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:07 (eighteen years ago) link

i literally woke up this morning with that groady rumble at the start of 'summertime blues' in my head this morning.

i am not a nugget (stevie), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:37 (eighteen years ago) link

this morning... this morning...

i love the way the first coupla minutes of 'he miss road' just kinda unhurriedly introduce the various elements of the song, before it really kicks in.

i am not a nugget (stevie), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:39 (eighteen years ago) link

xpost Aren't they touring or something (Blue Cheer)?

Abbadavid Berman (Hurting), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:43 (eighteen years ago) link

yeah! they're coming to philly next week i think!!

killy ii (baby lenin pin), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:51 (eighteen years ago) link

(x-post w/r/t BC touring)I've no idea! I just wanted to listen to something a bit ROCK when I was picking up CDs to listen to at work since I did the ash ra tempel overload thing last week. I hadn't listened to V.E. for a while and fancied it.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 12:51 (eighteen years ago) link

yo i feel the same way re: rock. i picked up some CDs yesterday and the checkout dude was like "you're really proggin' out today huh" and now i kind of wished i'd just picked up some bitchin' metal shit instead.

electro-acoustic lycanthrope (orion), Wednesday, 31 May 2006 02:05 (eighteen years ago) link

face to face - "disconnected"

something tells me that deangulberry and harvell have a soft spot for this little slice of pop-punk precursor from 1993. maybe even vahid (but only during a dramatic deathbed confession).

also if JW hates jawbreaker, god save my noizeboard sole.

Steve Shasta (Steve Shasta), Wednesday, 31 May 2006 04:43 (eighteen years ago) link

i do indeed have a soft spot for that song

jewess harvell (dubplatestyle), Wednesday, 31 May 2006 05:04 (eighteen years ago) link

i believe that went on simon trife's pop punk primer
