Have you seen "Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Good Job!"?

HI DERE, Thursday, 13 December 2007 20:35 (seventeen years ago)

have you seen me on "Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Good Job!"?

chaki, Thursday, 13 December 2007 20:37 (seventeen years ago)

Actually I was gonna say "except TAEASGJ" but that would make my post more honest and thereby less effective. You can, however, watch it on the net before it airs on TV.

But yeah, I'm a longtime fan. Nite Live is beautiful too...

worst track jay-z has ever been on. those zylaphoney downward swoops (hey, i'm no musician). this track is the reason swiss beats became a joke and started losing work...
oh, and dmx is a one-dimensional bulldog who makes redman sound deep.

"swiss beats"

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Saturday, 15 December 2007 03:41 (seventeen years ago)

i was SO disappointed with the senor coconut stuff. led to believe it was a BAND that played latin instruments - that would have been good.NO it is blatantly sequenced geek tribute IDM with a few latin touches thrown in - no real instruments. the marimba and vibraphone sound totally digital equal temperament tuning etc. "home computer" is groovy as fk, yes, but the rest of it is like listening to a green jelly / gwar album. looks funny. not funny. geeez 'n' gosh however is the absolute bollocks AMAZING microhouse w/ v subtle gospel samples. "nobody knows" absolutely rollicking good stuff.

christmas wisdom from the king:

Playing a lot of R&B and hip-hop will ruin any party.
A good party doesn't have a dancefloor!

omg that bob snoom post could not possibly be more incorrect

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 25 December 2007 19:21 (seventeen years ago)

I have never been able to listen to a Byrds' album in its entirety. "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" in particular is totally boring. I've never understood it's "masterpiece" status - it sounds identical to any number of country albums from the same period.

I've never gotten what's quite so special about "When Doves Cry". It's a good song and all, but it's never struck me as mindblowingly brilliant or anything.

rrrobyn, Monday, 31 December 2007 02:52 (seventeen years ago)

I would probably vote indie, a lot because of the fans, but it's been stuck together with alternative, of which there is a lot that I like. That being said, I've pretty much come to the conclusion at this point that there is good stuff in every genre, and it's unfair to dismiss things out of hand, but honestly (and I realize this isn't going to be a popular opinion), I wouldn't be sad at all if I never heard a hip-hop song again.

But I agree w/ him.

Laurel, Wednesday, 2 January 2008 22:27 (seventeen years ago)

he is probably correct that his opinion will not be popular. he is also probably correct that he wouldn't be sad at all.

El Tomboto, Wednesday, 2 January 2008 22:28 (seventeen years ago)

Where did this Jeff Treppel guy come from, because he's impact player this month.

Dom Passantino, Wednesday, 2 January 2008 22:45 (seventeen years ago)

He's been on the Rolling Metal thread since late 06 I think.

nukes are not the answer. insanely costly, impossible to clean up, incredibly dangerous. saying its "better" than greenhouse gas emitting technologies is like saying getting shot in the head is better than being decapitated.
