HI GUYZ.

this is what i did yesterday. it's fairly typical:

wake up bcz pikey hooligan kids on the estate are setting off fireworks
make tea
drink tea w/ friend who passed out on our sofa the previous night
watch some of hollyoaks omnibus
go to the caff for an omelette
go home and read the independent
go into town for a movie ('radio on'; it sucks)
have a few beers (bitter) at glasshouse stores
go home early because the g-d train stops at midnight
fall asleep on sofa watching adam ant documentary on channel four

so, yeah. all in all, i'm quite enjoying the european experience.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 25 October 2004 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)

i dont even know: what that is a picture of

ALLMUSIC.COM (ddb), Monday, 25 October 2004 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

for some reason my friend has about 50 cases of newcastle brown ale in his flat. it was part of a sponsorship-gone-awry thing, i think. it has already led to rather severe late-night trouble.

re: european cooking - i'm having a great time here buying fruit and vegetables and salmon at a much lower price than in new york. i've not made any boiled meat, but i can make mushy peas with mint that will knock your socks off.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 12:01 (twenty-one years ago)

also, fine cheeses are much cheaper.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 12:03 (twenty-one years ago)

and, you can get coconut and lemongrass crisps and blood orange kitkats.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 12:04 (twenty-one years ago)

let's not forget the fact that vegetarian sausages are available in most crappy little greasy spoon cafes.

i'm never coming home, in other words.

lauren (laurenp), Wednesday, 27 October 2004 12:05 (twenty-one years ago)
