caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 20 October 2005 19:55 (twenty years ago)

do not take sociology classes. those are for fucking fags.

Special Agent Dale Koopa (orion), Thursday, 20 October 2005 19:57 (twenty years ago)

ian my school has all boring classes and i'm the smartest one there! i don't know what to do

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 20 October 2005 19:58 (twenty years ago)

What is "FINE ARTS:FILM ART"?

I may be taking...acting classes.

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:14 (twenty years ago)

Caveat: This is *not* because I want to be an actor.

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:15 (twenty years ago)

This course will develop students' skills in viewing, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating the art of cinema through an examination of film technology, history, aesthetics and style. Class 4, Credit 4

i have to take a fine arts class, the other options are theatre, visual, music (where you have to listen to something and name the composer, boring! i already know all the composers)

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:17 (twenty years ago)

you're really smart

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:19 (twenty years ago)

I am going to be taking an oil painting class.

:(

This got cancelled, btw. But Dean recommended me a book that was good.

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:22 (twenty years ago)

depends which school i get into! if i get into nyu (for example), my schedule will look something like:

http://wagner.nyu.edu/urbanplanning/reqs.php

astor riviera (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:48 (twenty years ago)

good luck on the GREs!

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:53 (twenty years ago)

thanks! i haven't seen some of the math stuff since high school (and i didn't really go to class back then anyway), so i'm nervous about memorizing it all.

astor riviera (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:54 (twenty years ago)

Same for me. I'm good at the verbal stuff but I haven't done math for 11 years (!) and I was never that good at it to start with. I only reviewed the math sections of my book from three weeks before the test and I did far, far better than I expected (or probably deserved) to. But during the test itself, I just went into a blind panic for the math section and my brain shut down.

Weirdly, it turned out fine!

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:57 (twenty years ago)

i'm the smartest one there!

so not true!

jw (ex machina), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:59 (twenty years ago)

i gave myself a lot of time to study beforehand, and i did actually spend some of that time studying, so i shouldn't do too terribly.

where are you applying?

astor riviera (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 20:59 (twenty years ago)

(the annoying part is that for the 2006 test they're doing away with most of the useless high school math questions and putting in more applicable-to-real-life questions about statistics. i like statistics! feh.)

astor riviera (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:04 (twenty years ago)

I have two classes next semestetrerer:
- making money
- spending money

I think my class for the next 6 months will just be:

- making money
- not spending money
- not paying rent or bills

Le Sterling Chow (dr g), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:07 (twenty years ago)

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:29 (twenty years ago)

no i'm graduating in may. i'm going to be a lawyer when i grow up.

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:30 (twenty years ago)

BOOKS ARE OVERRATED

jw (ex machina), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:35 (twenty years ago)

Are you going straight to lawyer school? I was gonna do that too, in America, so I could be a noise lawyer like cutty. But I am enjoying not being at school too much now :(

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:39 (twenty years ago)

All respect to cutty, but I think Dean is the more noise of lawyer, or noise paralegal or whatever. Cutty is in school and is still noise in many other ways.

Jazz Funeral in the Chinese Quarter (nordicskilla), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:40 (twenty years ago)

yeah i'm going straight to lawyer school

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:42 (twenty years ago)

i'm going to be a noise city planner. the streets in my city will be made of soy cheese and aids wolf cds.

astor riviera (Jody Beth Rosen), Thursday, 20 October 2005 21:44 (twenty years ago)

i really didn't like aids wolf when i saw them, i tried really hard and everything :( what did I do wrong?

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Friday, 21 October 2005 01:01 (twenty years ago)

barf bag special (mistymartinez), Friday, 21 October 2005 01:09 (twenty years ago)

oohhh can I visit your board briefly?

Next semester will be the start of honours in history for moi:
# Two methodology units (yuk)
# Two units with exams (1 will probably be French Revolution and Napoleon; other don't have a clue)
# 15 000 word thesis on ....????

This semester I did some cool classes, with reading and everything:
# Cold War Europe
# Modern Britain
# Postcolonial Fictions
# Lit Theory

All this will probably be useless but interesting nonetheless for taking over the world.
