i cant stand any cooked vegetable (except spinach). why would anyone want to deny a vegetable its crunchiness? that's the best part.

I just rediscovered eggplant this summer. Actually more like discovered, since I never really ate it before, other than in like eggplant parmesan or something. Anyway, it's great on the grill. Yum.

i ate some raw broccoli rabe the other day and it tasted like wasabi. burnt my mouth. what's up with that shit?

(i like normal broccoli. even raw. but mostly steamed until it's bright green and still a little crunchy with salt and pepper and butter. mmmmmmmm.)

i used to make yummy eggplant grinders. cover round slices in olive oil, cover with bread crumbs, bake them in the oven, add some roasted red peppers and grilled green peppers, some oregano, and some marinara sauce all on a toasted hoagie/grinder/sub roll. yummy stuff.

"Vegetables" is a grocers term, not botanical. Yes, tomatoes (and anything that is a package for seeds) are a fruit, broccoli and artichokes are flowers, carrots and yams are roots, potatoes are stems, lettuce and onions are leaves...I would be happy to get rid of "vegetables" in exchange for a new president!
