four years pass...

i had some escolar but the place claimed that escolar and amberjack are the same fish, and i haven't found anything to support that online. i guess if i get diarrhea then i know it's escolar!

that is absolutely not true.

Amberjack is genus Seriola, family Carangidae.

Escolar/Waloo is genus Lepidocybium, family Gemphylidae.

Totally different fish. Don't look or taste anything alike.
