Do any of youse guys listen to Scott Foust rekkerdz? He's the Swill Radio label guy and he's put out a ton of records by all of these bands that he's been in and others. He's really good and hilarious. I just listened to a side of that Tart LP Bring in the Admiral recently and it's really good. He has a twenty year retrospective cassette out on his own Pineapple Tapes label (subsid. of Swill Radio) that is awesome.

He's got two new no wavish bands that have tracks on that comp. One is called the Motor of History. It's him and Adris Hoyos on drums. The premise seems to be that he makes "motor" like sounds with his guitar while Adris plays drums. It's pretty funny. The other is called the Braces, who are a guitar/drums duo. His other no wavish band is the New Peculiars, which is him, Karla Borecky, and Karla's parents (who are probably in their fifties or sixties). They have a number of singles out and I think one (maybe it's the forthcoming one? I can't remember) features a cover of the Prats' "Bored" (=awesome).

Tim - Polyamory released the IFCO "Cycle 19 Live" cassette way back in 98. I can try to find a copy if yr interested. Meeting him and Karla was a trip. They are totally great people. We had some email contact a few months back but for the most part we've lost touch.

four years pass...

Gutted to have missed his performing the Four Accomplishments last night. Apparently it includes a dance segment.

Scott Foust.... dancing.

There's a DVD available, don't worry!

Also, his Hear's To Love! DVD is pretty intense.

I think the last two Idea Fire Company records have been some of the best independent experimental records to come out in the last few years.

I am something of a Swill Radio fanboy, I guess. Both Tart albums are amazing, and so was the "Vital"(?) live in Europe IFCO CD; admittedly I don't listen to CDs much, but I definitely played that one a lot going to bed or driving in an automobile.
