bjork: noize/not noize?

a boy i like told me to listen to new bjork album (medulla?). i told him i don't like bjork all that much but i would try again anyway. does listening to bjork make you so not noize? i still think he is cuet anyway.

i went through a big bjork phase in high-school. freshman year at nyu, all my bjork & morrissey cd's were stolen by some OTHER fag while i left them unattended. probably for the best, though.

i like the parts of medulla with mike patton.

I think what it comes down to is whether you find them enjoyably amusing or not. I think Jack Cole's comment on the Killers thread that I started about the Killers being noise to him was apposite, in a way. For me, the more I looked at them, the more I appreciated the dude for being an enjoyable spaz.

Do jon or caitlin work at the COLLEGE RADIO STATIONS? you guys should. Maybe they suck now, I don't know. I used to listen to both Rochester college radio stations when I was a kid. First place I ever heard Sonic Youth and The Fall!

I actually didn't mind the Killers, but i only heard the album the one time. They had a decent rhythm section at least. And cool keyboard sounds. The singer was definitely annoying though. Why must the singer position sink so many potentially decent bands?

both of our radio stations are the worst. sometimes on the rit station i've heard things that are ok, but it's very sporadic. on saturdays there's always some dorky kids playing parodies and "funny" songs. also there's lots of shitty r&b all the time. the u of r station plays john mayer and maroon 5 a lot. its only redeeming factor is npr news in the evening. there is also a non-college independent station that everyone thinks is FUCKING GREAT and it's HORRIBLE.

WRUR sucks now because they use a computer automated playlist of shit during the day because there aren't enough djs. :/ Bullshit with the administration.
