dub is basically the greatest thing ever about working at emusic. so much amazing dub stuff on the site. it comprises about 60% of my listening these days. i love how it fucks with the listener, opening with an extremely catchy vocal hook and then taking it away until the last 10 seconds so that the whole time you're waiting for it to return. i love that there's no center to the music, that "songwriting" is simply fucking with levels. i want dub sides to every song ever.

i like dancing to dub cuz basically it's free form interpretive dance crossed with hippie spins. i.e. GRATE while high and/or drunk!!

i like first-wave ska but i grew up seeing the pietasters and their ilk playing all the time and just grew to hate the white boy version. eventually some friends and i started a fake ska band called SKAP IT! that was equally awful and not as much fun as we had hoped.
