then they took an intermission and came back and played a bunch of the lamer stuff from the later albums. Oh, who am I kidding I loved that stuff too. Vince Neil sounds like crap. Mick Mars looks like he could drop dead any second ... dude is in a bad way. Still plays a mean guitar tho. They said "motherfucker" a lot. And they busted out the tittie-cam, and lots of ladeez obliged.

they encored with "Helter Skelter" and "Anarchy in the USA" and it was way lame.

  • Another great drummer...

gygax! (gygax!), Friday, 11 March 2005 20:20 (twenty years ago)

Actually he is pretty damn great! He was probably the best part of the show .. just focusing on him. He's just really solid and looked to be having a good time playing with these guys again...

HE IS NOT A GREAT DRUMMER BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION.

    A GOOD SHOWMAN, SURE.

ddb (ddb), Friday, 11 March 2005 20:26 (twenty years ago)

HE IS NOT DAVE LOMBARDO, NO, BUT HE IS A DECENT ROCK DRUMMER. HE IS BETTER THAN MOST OTHER 80s HAIR METAL DRUMMERS.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Friday, 11 March 2005 20:34 (twenty years ago)

PLAY TOO FAST FOR LOVE DOOD...HE SOUNDS BARELY CAPABLE.

DONT GET ME WRONG, I LIKE THE CRUE. IM SURE THERE ARE WORSE DRUMMERS...BUT THERE ARE CERTAINLY BETTER ONES PLAYING HAIR METAL.

ddb (ddb), Friday, 11 March 2005 20:40 (twenty years ago)

I wish Faster Pussycat would do a reunion tour. I'd totally go to that. Or wait, did one of them die or something? I can't remember.

ddb (ddb), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:10 (twenty years ago)

    DDB:

"Live Wire" is a FANTASTIC drum song... Seriously, I heard a guy play it unaccompanied (he was playing along to it piped in through headphones) and it was beyond capable, WTF!

gygax! (gygax!), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:12 (twenty years ago)

Dude, is your list a little light on the Poison/Cinderella side of things? I'm just asking!

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:14 (twenty years ago)

NAH DOOD, ITS SO SLOPPY!!!!!!! COWBELL PART IS AWESME THO!

Scott Seward would probably know better/worse drummers!

ddb (ddb), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:16 (twenty years ago)

ddb (ddb), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:16 (twenty years ago)

I need to get another copy of Long Cold Winter. I don't know what happened to mine. Probably sold it for booze money or some stupid shit like that.

ha -- you're right about that remix album ddb! I had no idea. It also says they toured in 2001. I don't remember hearing about that AT ALL. I was probably mourning 9/11 or something i dunno.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:28 (twenty years ago)

    NIGHT SONGS!!!!!!!!!

ddb (ddb), Friday, 11 March 2005 21:31 (twenty years ago)

I found my Long Cold Winter cassette in a box last year and eagerly put it into the stereo only to discover I had TAPED OVER it with one of my old bands' demos (We had done the Ween thing where every copy of the tape was to be made on another band's cassette).
