Oh God, Martin and I watched it not too long ago and it is RUFF going. There are some really really really really retarded musical sequences, especially the swing vs. The Tubes vs. disco threeway medley smasheroo thing that ends the movie (which is so utterly awful and tasteless that it is, of course, great, but . . . . ). You just feel really sorry and embarassed for Gene Kelly throughout, its like watching your granny getting mugged or something.

It makes a good two-fer with the Village People's "Can't Stop the Music" film, or, if you have a stomach of iron, a three way with the Bee Gees Sergeant Pepper movie . . .
