awesome. Hey, er, this is SO INCREDIBLY NOT NOIZE, but J.lu, are/were you on the Afghan Whigs mailing list? Did I meet you guys at some point, like 1998 at the Black Cat, and maybe a 9:30 club Whigs show? I just found my bootleg tapes of that show & was reading old ILX threads on Dulli & co. & went, wait a minute!

Yeah, I've met her! She parallel parked my car once, because I couldn't manage to fit the thing in this tiny spot off 16th and P near where someone else from that crowd was living (L@ur@?), this big opulent looking apartment building. I was living a couple hours out of town then, and then I had to do an undergrad thesis and was crazy busy and lost touch, and it's been ages since I was on the list.

Wow, craziness. I have been going through massive nostalgia for all the music I was really into in the mid 90s, when I still obsessed over certain bands enough to go out and dig up every damn B-side and live recording and whatever. Hole, PJ Harvey, Afghan Whigs. Er, Tori Amos... (SO NOT NOIZE) followed by Big Black and the Birthday Party.

How would the world look right now had it been WOLFIZE instead? Hmmm. Interesting.
