I did a great painting of Kate Winslet recently. I started on a painting of Michael Jackson tonight. It's looking good! I have been writing a lot. Mostly about death metal. But last night I wrote about this new recordcollectronica album that I really dig.

i think the older you get, the less things feel creative.
i look at my kids and i put a pillow on my head and am like, "what?" and it's like the funniest thing they've ever seen. even my 11 month old gets that shit.
that's creative to them.
try that at an old folks home... they'll just steal your jello and get you to rub their feet.

The final section of the piece kinda sounds like an attempt at a midi
version of something out of Cosmic Tones. It's a pretty random
composition, wasn't going for anything intentional. I was fairly
amused by the fact that when I added some distortion and echo it
sounded more like Metal Machine Music than Ra. That's part one. Of
the other sections, II and IV are experiments in altering drum
patterns into guitar parts for a kind of warped nu-metal parody. Fun.
III. is a rhythmic interlude, a slightly fucked up one. (I monkeyed
with the drum and guitar tracks a bit so they would wobble in and out
of the pocket. I think there at least 15 slightly different beats
going at once.)
V. is an attempt to string together seemingly worthless generic loops
into something interesting...
This is meant to be performed as one piece by a full band.

On a technical web design note, anyone know why some of my links are broken in Safari, but not Firefox? Weirdy.
