MORDAM RECORDS is a group of record labels and publishers that sells its music and magazines together. This arrangement honors the autonomy of each label while supporting the group. When you buy any of the items from Mordam Records you are in effect buying directly from the labels: MORDAM RECORDS honors the prices, ideas and wishes of the label.

to be honest, i dont give a fuck about Mordam -- I do care about the labels it might drag down with it as sinks like the Titantic. last i heard it was being sold to someone --? i don't remember where i read that because i am old and senile.

CHORUS
Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I'm gonna cry
Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I feel like I could die
Bye bye my love, goodbye

There goes my baby
With someone new
She sure looks happy
I sure am blue
She was my baby
Till he stepped in
Goodbye to romance
That might have been

CHORUS

I'm through with romance
I'm through with love
I'm through with counting
The stars above
And here's the reason
That I'm so free
My loving baby
Is through with me

CHORUS

mordam was bought by or merged with lumberjack:

http://www.lumberjack-online.com

You'll soon be able to get your Acute/Carpark/Paw-Tracks releases from Caroline.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 05:28 (twenty years ago)

Caroline is one of the classic evil distributors. Totally monsters. Lumberjack is just moronic punk-a-dunk. Wherest go Load, Sympathy, etc?

jack cole (jackcole), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 05:44 (twenty years ago)

I don't know. My partner handles all the business stuff. I think we did okay w/ Mordam, but the joining w/ Lumberjack I think scared a lot of labels away. At the time, there were a few non maxrocknroll type labels, most of which used to be hardcore/punk but I guess had stretched out a bit? Troubleman left a while ago, and I think those other labels did as well. I figured bigger is better, and trust my partner, who takes everything with a grain of salt and just looks out for the bottom line. Wish us luck. Personally, the association w/ Mordam seemed weird, as it was so hardcore/punk. While Acute has certainly had a few "punk" type releases, it's not at all the only thing we're about. But I had no complaints while we were with them, we sold a few CDs.

you should be OK as long as you keep your eyes open and read thoroughly everything you guys sign, which I think you guys would do anyway unlike a lot of labels.
