ONCE I SAW A DOOD AT A FLEA MARKET SELLING LIKE 8 THIN LIZZY CASSETTES BUT I DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY. SAD.

ME

even though I famously did not recognize Bad Reputation of the Dogtown soundtrack!

I have bought Jailbreak with the gatefold cover for THREE friend's birthdays!

THE LIVE ALBUM IS THE ONLY ALBUM (SANS BAD REUNION BULLSHIT RECORDS) THAT I DONT HAVE.

NOT A FAN OF LIVE RECORDS IN GENERAL...BUT MAYBE I SHOULD PICK IT UP TODAY.

BAD REPUTATION DESTROYS.
BLACK ROSE HAS BEEN MY FAV. LATELY.

"You had bad breaks well that's tough luck
You play too hard too much rough stuff
You're too sly so cold
That bad reputation has made you old"

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 17:00 (twenty years ago)

I love how in Irish bars when the U2 levels start getting toxic you can invariably wake everybody up with some Thin Lizzy.

M. White (Miguelito), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 17:04 (twenty years ago)

I got one of their CDs the other day at Kim's, it was only $5 or something like that, maybe less. It seemed really pathetic, only to cost that much to me, for such a great bit of music, especially compared to how much absolute crap costs in that store.

Allyzay Subservient 50s-Type (allyzay), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 21:35 (twenty years ago)

Get one JAILBREAK

Drew Daniel (Drew Daniel), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 21:55 (twenty years ago)

They rule. I've got all the albums up through BAD REPUTATION. I never did hear that live thing either. I should pick that up.

I love the early trio stuff the best though. Call me crazy. It's just so blunted out.

Stormy Davis (diamond), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 22:28 (twenty years ago)

do they have weird extended psychedelic freakouts on the b-sides of their albums??

Amateur(ist) (Amateur(ist)), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 22:42 (twenty years ago)

this was my top twenty from an ilm thread. it has probably changed since then. i love all the albums, but the first album is close to my heart. it's so friggin' beautiful.
