he is a god. but i mostly listen to the mach 1 60's era stuff cuz it can't be beat. not that i don 't love the fly like an eagle era, i do, but man oh man those first albums are gold thru and thru.

I love the early stuff too. that horsey Greatest Hits album is so good tho. I love the fact that it's basically one half each of his two big 70s albums slapped together with one earlier song ("the joker"). It's truly an American youth rite of passage. Many a Friday night party session has been kicked off with a fading-in "Swingtown".
