ME DRUNK

we played a show tonight with this band that was like motorhead + skynrd w/ the fear guy singing. it was at first awful. then later it was rad. then it was really really awful.

then this other band played and they're friends of sorts and to their doom rock thing. their misfits cover ruled. it's gonna be on some west memphis comp that we're supposedly recording for too, but their song is decidedly less misfitsy than ours. we're doomed.

we fucked up. but not. turn out was eh. i was so sick that i was about to die by the end. my voice is like ms. peabody. i should be drunk.

i missed the last band cause i was sure i was gonna puke on the way home in my car. thank god i didn't.

man, playing these 1 dimensional shows really sucks. best show ever so far was us, some post rock band that sucked, a death rock amrep band, and one of my favorite nashville pop bands.

it's like, just give me pot luck rock!

my friends band did a mini-tour of the southeast recently and had almost no turnouts and played with a variety of bar-rock bands (think Blueshammer from 'Ghost World').

yesterday i saw pics of one of my nephews playing in a band, they're all like 11 yr olds with really shaggy hair. like a grunge version of Old Skull. his favorite band right now is Van Halen (w/ Roth). he even has a small record collection w/ Frampton Comes Alive!

i got hammered last night. good times, great oldies.

to help them out, i'm playing the last couple gigs we had booked and helping them record a song for that comp.

then i'm done unless things change that i can't see really changing. nice guys and i still maintain that the music's aight, but... we all know how easy it is to put the blinders on with bands yer in or friends are in.
