Putting stickers on your car is a very good way to guarantee that you will get pulled over eventually. Unless your stickers say things like "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" and "I ONLY HUNT WHITE TAIL".

I used to have a Touch & Go Records sticker on my car. Stopped at a traffic light in western Maryland, this gigantic new SUV pulls up next to me and the guy leans out the window & is all.. "HEY! DO YOU LIKE BIG BLACK? STEVE ALBINI! RULES!"

Currently I haven't yet pulled the Kerry for President sticker off my car. However, I just found stashed away this Swans promo sticker from when they broke up in 1997 that says "VISUALIZE TOTAL ANNIHILATION." I am considering this as a replacement.

i have a fascination with instructions on how to put shit together... the pictures especially.

connected to that is this geek out with sticker decal shit... and even the empty web left behind on a decal sheet when the stickers are gone. i love sticking that to shit. guitars for example. etc.

we used to stick anything remotely adhesive to our skateboards. of course, stealing "boneless" stickers from the grocery was never all it was cracked up to be. after being on the cold and moist meat package there were no stickin it to shit.

when we were poor we used to glue and scotch tape ads from transworld and thrasher all over. of course they blew right off. hot glue gun or no.

we used to do a variation of hobo chalking with scotch tape and whatever we could find. leave messages for eachother. big slabs of beef or glass bottles ripped out of grocery store circulars and taped to loading docks... "danger destruction ahoy". like either you're gonna die or you're gonna have glass shards from hell from this place. keep moving.

but a big "P" (again from the publix supermarket chain) usually meant, "beware, you will be messed with here with popo or others."
