oh my god did anyone see the last Da Ali G Show where Borat goes into a redneck bar and gets the whole bar to sing a song called "Throw the Jew Down the Well" with him?
It was priceless and a bit scary, the song was unreasonably catchy as well.

"Throw the Jew down the well
So my country can be free
You must grab him by his horns
And we'll have a big par-ty
Throw the Jew down the well
So my country can be free
You must grab him by his money"....etc.

What made that so chilling was how many rednecks who started out politely listening to Borat's corny AzerbaiKhazak folk schtick started clapping and singing along with him once they got the chorus down.

Reporter: Excuse me, congressman, have you ever watched “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”?

House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas): No. I don’t even know who he is.

Everyone's favorite Dr.-with-a-Z, Dr. Jonathan Zizmor, or simply the only dermatologist New Yorkers know by name if only because of his subway ads was fined and put on probation for failing to "perform adequate histories and physical exams" on nine patients (four of whom were undercover agents). Dr. Zizmor was charged with fraud a few years ago for falsely billing a $100,000 procedure that didn't occur. Maybe the acne cleared up!

Dr. Zizmor's intrusive and brilliant subway marketing scheme led The New Yorker's Rebecca Mead chatted with Dr. and Mrs. Zizmor about last year's saluting New York ad. One dissatisfied patient attested to the power of the ads, telling the Post, "It was expensive and it wasn't worth it. But you just convince yourself you need it because of the ads." In a strange way, we've grown fond of his ads, as they speak to the heart and soul of every struggling-to-get-heard small business. Gothamist prefers them to the goofy beer ads that are plastered in the subway cars. And has anyone gone to Dr. Zizmor for a skin consultation? Gothamist sees his offices whenever we're at Dylan's Candy Bar.

Former SF supervisor pleads guilty to corruption
By PAUL ELIAS – 12 hours ago

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A former San Francisco supervisor pleaded guilty to three felony charges Friday and admitted to trying to shake down city business owners with planning permit problems.

Ed Jew resigned from the Board of Supervisors in January after a federal grand jury indicted him on charges that he demanded $80,000 from owners of outlets of the Quickly chain of fast-food restaurants to help them solve their permit issues.

During an FBI sting in 2007, agents videotaped the owners delivering a $40,000 payment to Jew in marked $100 bills and promised to pay the rest later. Agents found $10,000 of that cash wrapped in foil and stored in a freezer during a raid of his Burlingame home.

After changing his story several times, Jew told the FBI that he gave $20,000 to a consultant and kept the other half. Jew said he intended to donate much of it to charity while keeping the rest to buy hot dogs and hamburgers for community events.

"Even though the money was to be used for projects in my district, taking it was illegal at the time, and I knew it," Jew said in court Friday. He blamed his "inexperience and naivete and lessons taught by other politicians" for contributing to his downfall.

Jew, 48, was elected to the board in 2006.

He remained free pending a Feb. 13 sentencing hearing. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison, but his clean criminal record will probably get him a much shorter prison sentence.

Jew has pleaded not guilty to separate state election fraud charges that he lied about living in San Francisco to qualify to represent the city's western neighborhoods.
