I started a new Momus thread on ILM with a link to a live clip, no one gives a shit so far, haha:

I hear a little Momus...

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 5 August 2004 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

he has hobbit feet.

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 5 August 2004 17:39 (twenty-one years ago)

WHERE IS THE EYEPATCH? DO YOU THINK HE'LL BUY US KEIJI HAINO ALBUMS?

Ian c=====8 (orion), Thursday, 5 August 2004 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe he thinks the eyepatch doesn't go with a kimono.

He's wearing it in the live clip I posted, and he's using an iBook as a backing band.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:17 (twenty-one years ago)

What does his music sound like?

gygax! (gygax!), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I dunno like electronic music with nominal glitchy stuff in the clip. He sings pretty well, sometimes his lyrics are really funny. Download "Coming in a Girl's Mouth" sometime.

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:22 (twenty-one years ago)

he sucks man

Red Panda Sanskrit (ex machina), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

well yeah pretty much, I liked him better like 5 years ago

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Judging by that picture, Momus is learning to sear holes in household objects by developing his ocular superpowers...

wetmink (wetmink), Thursday, 5 August 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

he looks like some sort of Kevin Spacey/Borg there

AaronHz (AaronHz), Thursday, 5 August 2004 19:10 (twenty-one years ago)

eleven months pass...
This group is the single really thrilling hope for pop music, which without them would be desperately dull (even—especially—the "new" Boredoms record).

I think that ILM is more "right" about Black Dice than any noise dude ever has been!

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:39 (twenty years ago)

More talk about Hisham or how their first hardcore 7" is the best thing they've ever done, please!

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:39 (twenty years ago)

More talk about Dan St. Jacques and ZZ Pot, plz!

Tumililingan (ex machina), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:44 (twenty years ago)

ARE BLACK DICE "BACK???"

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:45 (twenty years ago)

Although looking at Momus' slsk folder, I didn't realize he was *such* a noise dude!

He has some Wilco, though.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:49 (twenty years ago)

adam, relax. i was posting that because he seems to be casually slamming the boredoms record.

?ÎÓDDDJHKHVBNM (eman), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:49 (twenty years ago)

that video clip pretty much destroys any notion that he has a clue about "where music should go."

(i do love the new b.d. and am not into their h/c past, fwiw)

?ÎÓDDDJHKHVBNM (eman), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

Dude, you see how relaxed I am right now! You seriously wouldn't believe it.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:52 (twenty years ago)

hahaha! "chillax"

?ÎÓDDDJHKHVBNM (eman), Sunday, 24 July 2005 17:56 (twenty years ago)

PHOIOEI (blastocyst), Sunday, 24 July 2005 18:33 (twenty years ago)

Tumililingan (ex machina), Sunday, 24 July 2005 18:49 (twenty years ago)
