me siento kinda weird about chavez sometimes, i'm not sure why. also some south americans (1 venezuelan, 1 peruvian) i asked said they didn't like him! they aren't conservatives either. he seems kinda too good to be true. i need to know more things about him. (not that i'm going to go out and buy middle eastern gas instead on purpose)

All the Indian kids I meet are super rich upper class and I imagine this holds true for South America.

i have one peruvian friend i've known since freshman year and one venezuelan girl i met for like 2 hours (my friend asked her about it and she said she really hates him). i'm not saying i agree with them immediately but i have always felt sort of weird about him. p.s. i know foreign kids in college are usually ultra rich.

My (Nigerian) economics professor really likes him. I guess he knows all too well the problems that arrise for locals when foreigners control the oil monopoly.

he definitely seems like a good guy though!
my friend said that once his mom was in venezuela riding a bus and a taxi cut the bus off in traffic. the drivers started yelling at each other and they got out of their vehicles. the bus driver subsequently beat the taxi driver with a chain. venezuelans are known for being violent, i guess.
